Daniela Guillén and Gabriela Seisdedos made history this Sunday in Spanish sport by winning the women’s team victory for the first time in the Motocross of Nations, held this weekend at the Cerro Negro circuit in Talavera de la Reina (Toledo) .
The Spanish women’s team achieved two partial victories for Daniela Guillén and took the title with the valuable contribution of Gabriela Seisdedos, who beat riders who a priori surpassed her in race pace, reports the Royal Spanish Motorcycle Federation.
“It has been incredible. Personally I have felt very good throughout the weekend but this would not have been possible without the great work that the whole team has done,” Daniela Guillén told RFME.
Gabriela Seisdedos commented “In a race like this you don’t want to fail the team and, although I couldn’t be one hundred percent, I gave everything I had to achieve the goal. Winning a title like this is a real dream come true”.
Spain took the title ahead of the teams from the Netherlands and Denmark.
The Spanish men’s team of EMX85 and EMX125/250 climbed to the third place on the podium, only surpassed by Italy, second, and France, winner of the test.
